港大醫學院歷年來培育無數人才投身醫護專業。導師的教學熱誠和專業態度，往往是影響學生行醫之路的重要因素，甚至為有意擔當起春風化雨角色的同學帶來啟蒙，啟迪他們建立教導後輩的方法，薪火相傳。 今集「良師醫友」的主角是港大臨床醫學院婦產科學系臨床助理教授翁淑菲Sofie（MBBS 2007）與昔日讀醫時的導師 — — 婦產科學系系主任、臨床副教授陳嘉倫Karen。 只借出一次的參考書 翁醫生還是醫科生時，最後一期專科見習（Specialty Clerkship）獲分配到婦產科，當時陳醫生是其導師（Tutor）。回憶對老師的第一印象，翁醫生一開始就開玩笑：「同學之間一看到Karen都說『嘩，隻眼好大！』，但現在看來她的眼睛變細了，可能工作太辛勞。」陳醫生聽罷也點頭同意。翁醫生接著說：「醫學院有些老師是很有威嚴，而她則是友善、沒有架子的。」

外科醫生培訓的師徒制，有點像武俠片當中，師父將武功傳授徒兒，一代傳一代。港大醫學院成立135年，不單傳承前人的歷史，還締造更多具前瞻性的成就。 今集「良師醫友」，有港大臨床醫學院外科學系臨床助理教授黃宇匡Ian（MBBS 2007）與外科學系講座教授羅英傑。他們的師徒關係正好體現了前輩擺脫「只有我是對」的想法，放手給後輩空間發展，醫學發展才有突破。 Charming又Supportive的老師 黃醫生回憶讀醫時，上過羅教授的課，形容這位老師年輕、醫術好、為人友善，笑說「整個Package很Charming」。他一直以外科醫生為志向，完成專科訓練後便加入港大的食管腸胃外科，「食管腸胃外科所牽涉的技術很多樣化，這專科歷史悠久，聞名於國際。」 羅教授補充說，黃醫生當年外科實習表現優秀，得悉對方有意加入食管腸胃外科，他感到很高興：「從事這科毫不容易，它並非熱門專科，但要應付複雜的手術，需要投放大量心力。Ian還表示對投身學術界有興趣，是更加難得。Ian為人謙厚、好學，是外科醫生必要的品格；他的獨立思考在新晉醫生當中更是突出。我在他身上看到潛質，當然樂意成全。」

作為入U五件事之一的「住hall」，除了意味學生短暫離家投入新的群體生活外，舍堂住宿亦為大學青蔥歲月增添幾分色彩。對社會醫學和公共衛生學院實務臨床副教授鍾沛康醫生而言，以舍監身份重返何善衡夫人堂及白文信學生宿舍，是讓他重遊舊地憶起昔日情懷，但同時亦賦予了他新的使命：他希望能秉承港大醫學院傳統，搏盡無悔，與努力奮鬥求學中的師弟師妹並肩同行，為他們帶來幫助和喜樂。 位於沙宣道的何善衡夫人堂及白文信學生宿舍，目前共提供超過280個宿位予醫科及護理學生。進行婦產科、內科、外科及兒科臨床專業見習的學生可優先申請入住，方便他們到瑪麗醫院進行臨床學習。進行其他臨床見習的高年級醫學生，以及準備考試的醫學生亦可申請宿位。 何善衡夫人堂，現時提供共用浴室的單人房、溫習空間、健身室，及可觀賞薄扶林一帶景色的天台公共空間。而白文信學生宿舍則提供多人房間、溫習室及公共休息室。此際，醫學院正準備著手重建宿舍，並預期在五年內興建兩座臨床培訓中心。何善衡夫人堂現址將建成其中一座大樓，以提供更佳的居住環境予臨床實習的醫科生及護理學生。
